Sketchbook 2026

This year I finally made my sketchbook practice something regular, even when I was working on book projects. I now keep a small sketchbook for travelling, a medium sketchbook for the studio and a A3 Moleskine for special painting or projects that need that “extra”space. At the beginning of the year I was working on my brushstroke and line with gouache, but as the year progresses you can see that I start to incorporate a lot of color pencils and texture. This happened organically but mostly happened because while I was working on “The Secret Magic of Horse Girls” I found that the horses needed more texture and warmth.
